I enjoyed this one more than volumes 3 & 4！ It was more on par with how much I enjoyed 1 & 2。 I really like the art style and Mash’s personality。 I loved the drawings of the piano and a giant cream puff the most

The current story arc gets wrapped up as Mash’s secret is brought into the light， some cream puffs are wasted in a shocking fashion， and another string of bad guys gets added into the mix。This will be my last review of Mashle as I am definitely suffering from Mash Burneout at this stage of the series。 It’s not been much of a secret that this story had exactly one joke and it’s not really doing much for me any more。There are some good parts， definitely。 The action is quite strong and there is a s The current story arc gets wrapped up as Mash’s secret is brought into the light， some cream puffs are wasted in a shocking fashion， and another string of bad guys gets added into the mix。This will be my last review of Mashle as I am definitely suffering from Mash Burneout at this stage of the series。 It’s not been much of a secret that this story had exactly one joke and it’s not really doing much for me any more。There are some good parts， definitely。 The action is quite strong and there is a stellar two-page spread in this one。 Despite the rather simple art， or， in fact， because of it， the series has always been good at delivering on that front。The themes of the story are definitely on display here， about how society can， yes， be completely wrong to dunk on the underprivileged for the simple reason of how they were born。 It’s certainly a message that resonates no less these days than it ever did。Some of the jokes land。 When they go back into wild Harry Potter parody （how’s that message about discriminating against people for how they were born holding up？）， the story heads to the shopping district and I will not spoil the dart game they play， but it is the kind of insanity I wish the story had more of and I had a good howl at it。The ‘how did we get here’ for Mash’s trial is a great gag too， as well as the weirdest foe yet and the most inappropriate （and hysterical） crown of thorns joke I’ve ever seen。 If you have been in love with this series to this point， I doubt you will be disappointed。For me， I was really just kind of bored waiting for the next joke。 The sameness of the battle scenes， no doubt a plus to your average shonen reader， is not for me。 This has never been my genre， I freely admit that， and diminishing returns just have me at the point where I’d rather skip this for something else。3 stars - it’s not just you， it’s me; in fact， it’s both of us， Mashle。 I will watch your anime， if they make one， and probably enjoy it， but I think we’ve had about as much fun together as we ever will。 。。。more

Ce manga est très vite devenu un de mes préférés。 D’ailleurs à peine le premier tome terminé que j’étais déjà sous le charme de cet univers。 Tout ces clins d’oeil à Harry Potter clairement je suis fan。 On en a encore dans ce cinquième tome d’ailleurs avec le Chemin de Marchett qui nous fait fortement penser au Chemin de Traverse ou encore la boutique qui vend des baguettes magiques。 Ce cinquième tome marque， pour moi， un vrai tournant dans l’histoire。 Rien ne sera plus comme avant désormais。 Et Ce manga est très vite devenu un de mes préférés。 D’ailleurs à peine le premier tome terminé que j’étais déjà sous le charme de cet univers。 Tout ces clins d’oeil à Harry Potter clairement je suis fan。 On en a encore dans ce cinquième tome d’ailleurs avec le Chemin de Marchett qui nous fait fortement penser au Chemin de Traverse ou encore la boutique qui vend des baguettes magiques。 Ce cinquième tome marque， pour moi， un vrai tournant dans l’histoire。 Rien ne sera plus comme avant désormais。 Et il me tarde de découvrir la suite。Dans ce cinquième tome， on retrouve Mash et ses amis célébrant leur victoire face à Magia Lupus。 Un des sbires de la mystérieuse organisation « Innocent Zéro » vient gâcher la fête 。 Abel apprend à ses dépens que ce nouvel ennemi utilise une magie noire très puissante。 Mais il en faut bien plus pour effrayer Mash qui contre attaque avec ses muscles d’acier！ Malheureusement cet affrontement ne sera pas sans conséquences puisque plus tard il va se retrouver convoqué devant une commission。 Une rumeur court à son sujet， il serait dépourvu de pouvoirs magiques。 Arrivera t’il à garder son secret caché？Le cas de Mash ne va pas en s’arrangeant avec ce tome。 Son secret est dévoilé et risque d’en subir les conséquences。 Mais ce n’est pas pour autant qu’il s’en inquiète。 En même temps， peu de choses atteignent Mash en vérité。 Comme si il s’en fichait de tout。 Mais c’est ce qui fait son charme on va dire。 C’est ça qui me plait le plus chez lui， ça apporte tellement d’humour au manga。 Son addiction aux choux à la crème je trouve ça vraiment drôle， surtout que généralement il les sort au pire des moments！ Ce n’est pas dans ce tome qu’il va se passer le plus de choses， c’est un tome plutôt calme et pourtant il était tout aussi excellent。 Je pense que c’est vraiment le fait de voir le secret de Mash éventé， le voir désormais en danger qui rend ce tome palpitant。 On se demande ce qui va finir par se passer pour lui！Cette série est vraiment très plaisante et le devient de plus en plus。 J’aime particulièrement l’humour qui se dégage de ce manga， typiquement le genre d’humour que j’aime par dessus tout。 Je suis hyper bon public de l’humour dans ce genre là et c’est un vrai plaisir de se plonger dans la lecture de chaque tome à chaque fois。 La fin de ce cinquième opus nous promet une suite des plus palpitante！ Et j’ai plus que hâte de me plonger dans la lecture du sixième！ 。。。more

The previous arc comes to a close with one last big fight against someone we can expect to be a more prolonged villain （or villain organization） in the series。 Lots of great action sequences， with Hajime Komoto being great at pacing and drawing the linework for the big impact scenes of Mash's attacks， before we start the next phase of the series with an introduction to a larger supporting cast of possible protagonists/antagonists and how Mash's lack of magic plays into the whole of the setting。S The previous arc comes to a close with one last big fight against someone we can expect to be a more prolonged villain （or villain organization） in the series。 Lots of great action sequences， with Hajime Komoto being great at pacing and drawing the linework for the big impact scenes of Mash's attacks， before we start the next phase of the series with an introduction to a larger supporting cast of possible protagonists/antagonists and how Mash's lack of magic plays into the whole of the setting。Some of the bigger lore building caught me off guard - I thought we would either wait a long time to see it develop， or if the series was going in this direction it would have dropped hints much earlier on in the story - but it does mean that Mashle is starting to develop it's own unique identity。 The first few volumes I have described as a One-Punch Man knock-off that parodies Harry Potter instead of superhero/battle stories。 As it goes on it's started to feel more like Jujutsu Kaisen with more gags than horror （and a lot less wordy and convoluted， which is good） and maybe some elements of D。Gray-Man。 Heck， I could see this filling a certain void while Blue Exorcist is on hiatus。 The series still has a long way to go， and I don't know how they will continue to build tension and escalate challenges， but I believe the series is starting to hit its stride。 。。。more

و اينم از جلد پنجم 。。。。واقعا اين جلد رو دوست داشتم 。。。اين جلد حول محور گروه معصوم صفر （بزرگتر گروه خلافكار در مجموعه） ميچرخه و اطلاعاتي رو در موردشون ميده و نوع جديدي از جادوگر ها يعني جادوگر سه نشان رو نشون ميده كه واقعا قدرت جادويي مهيبي دارن و در اخر جلد هم بالاخره ازمون بصيرت الهي شروع ميشه كه ماش باعث شگفت زده شدن همه ميشه（خيلي صحنه خفني بود）。。。اين جلد بيشتر اطلاعاتي رو در مورد داستان ميده و مقدار فايت ها نسبت به جلد قبل كمتره و كمدي بيشتري دارهپيشنهاد ميكنم حتما اين مجموعه رو بخونيد。。。

For this trimester I read a relatively new weekly manga series called Mashle: Magic and Muscles by Hajime Komoto。 Since the series is relatively short （only around 60 chapters at this time） I decided to review everything up until this point。 The main theme so far in the manga is just discrimination against those that are different and lower classes and working for acceptance which is very evident throughout the series。 Although the idea for the story isn’t exactly the most original and you can d For this trimester I read a relatively new weekly manga series called Mashle: Magic and Muscles by Hajime Komoto。 Since the series is relatively short （only around 60 chapters at this time） I decided to review everything up until this point。 The main theme so far in the manga is just discrimination against those that are different and lower classes and working for acceptance which is very evident throughout the series。 Although the idea for the story isn’t exactly the most original and you can definitely see similarities between this series and others， it was still extremely interesting and enjoyable。 So a brief summary of the series is that in this world people are born with marks indicating magic power which has become very crucial to society。 As such anyone born without a mark and born without magic is to be killed。 Our main character Mash Burnedead was born without a mark and in order to compensate for this his father （adoptive father） made him work out。 However， one day people learn of his condition and in order to restore peace to his normal life he needs to attend a magic school and gain the position of divine visionary so that society would be forced to accept him。 If you have read One Punch Man and Harry Potter， the similarities are very obvious。 A main character where a normal guy works out to become overwhelmingly strong and a world with magic with lots of discrimination。The main themes are pretty evident from the beginning。 In addition to discrimination against people with no magic （I guess it’s a little more severe than discrimination since they kill people without magic） there’s also discrimination against people in lower classes and those who are less skilled。 This can be seen in Lemon who is used in order to distract Mash during the entrance exam in exchange for allowing her to pass。 When she ultimately fails at her task and Mash ends up saving her the instructor ridicules them saying that they “positively reek of commoner” and shouldn’t be at this academy which is only meant for the higher up classes。 In addition to this Mash’s friends Finn and Dot are often made fun of for their lack of ability。 Dot is a bit of a special case since his true power only comes out when he’s very emotional （not in a sad way though）。 Finn is made fun of because of how he lacks ability compared to his older brother who was the previous year’s divine visionary。 Working towards acceptance is also evident in how Mash has to work for the position of divine visionary so that people will have to accept his magicless status。 One of his closest friends/rivals Lance is also in a similar position where his sister is losing her magic and he also wants to achieve the position of divine visionary to ensure that his sister won’t be killed。Although this all sounds pretty serious and kind of terrible， the series is still extremely funny and good to read。 To be completely honest， it’s so funny that it’s kind of easy to forget what’s at stake although the series has done a good job at keeping everything relevant to the story。 I won’t really go into it here since I feel like that would spoil the fun， but because of these things I gave the series 5 stars。 。。。more
